💎Public Announcement: We would like to end Mental Health Awareness Month with sharing an article that a Mother shared about her Baby Boy.
💎This story is a common story for so many children who suffer from Mental Health Disorders, which sometimes lead our Teen Kings and Queens to the Juvenile Justice Criminal System.
💎Please be aware that the same teens who are in the news, are becoming homeless once they are emancipated out of their foster homes and / or group homes on their 18 birthday depending on the state or region they enter the child welfare system in.
💎Everyone is not attending college, so just continue to pay attention, and raise awareness for everyone who need special attention.
💎Moving forward, how does this line up with Foster youth becoming a epic failure after they emancipate out of the foster care system, with having mental health challenges and crossing over to the criminal justice system.
Here is my perspective…..
Maybe……………………..
💎lack of systematic support
💎 lack of educational resources
💎lack of supportive foster parents
💎 lack of not having the right social workers in place.
💎Not enough Ambassadors and/or Advocates
💎 Not enough Psychological Doctors
💎 Therefore , we need more practitioners who actually have their Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) who identify with (Thinking Of Us) .
💎 We would like to work on improving systematic barriers here in the U.S.A.
